Mick van Dijke triumphs at Watersley

In a sprint against Victor Campenaerts, Mick van Dijke claimed the victory following a spectacular stage in Limburg. This marks Van Dijke’s first win as a professional. For Campenaerts, the orange leader’s jersey serves as a consolation prize.
Top 3 of the stage:
1. Mick van Dijke – Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe
2. Victor Campenaerts – Team Visma | Lease A Bike
3. Jonas Rutsch – Lotto Intermarché

Victor Campenaerts secured the orange leader’s jersey thanks to the time he gained, including time bonuses collected both at the finish line and along the route. He was also awarded the red jersey for the most combative rider, following a public vote. This jersey will be worn by Mick van Dijke during the stage from Hoogeveen to the VAM-Berg. Although Jakob Söderqvist lost the overall leader’s jersey, he will wear the points jersey during the fourth stage. The youth classification is currently led by Steffen de Schuyteneer.
