Femke Markus wins after strong solo

The third stage of the Eneco Tour, from Sittard to Watersley, was won by Femke Markus following a powerful solo performance. After launching an attack 17 kilometers from the finish, she managed to stay ahead of the chasing peloton.
op 3 of the stage:
1. Femke Markus – Team SD Worx – Protime
2. Lieke Nooijen – Team Visma | Lease A Bike
3. Maud Rijnbeek – Volker Wessels Cycling Team
 
Lieke Nooijen retained the orange leader’s jersey and also remains at the top of the points classification. In the upcoming stage from Hoogeveen to VAM-berg, that jersey will be worn by Sandrine Tas. Nienke Vinke continues to lead the youth classification. Femke Markus saw her fighting spirit rewarded with the red jersey.
